Dr. Ir. Idqan Fahmi, M.Ec. is a respected academic and researcher from IPB University’s School of Business. With over 20 years of experience in the field of economic science, he has published numerous research articles and books on various economics-related topics, including development economics, agricultural economics, natural resource management, and environmental economics.
Dr. Fahmi earned his Doctoral degree in Economics from The Australian National University in 2012, after completing his Master’s degree in Economics at IPB University in 2001 and his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the same university in 1996.
As a lecturer at IPB University, Dr. Fahmi has dedicated his research to the improvement of Indonesia’s socio-economic development, particularly in the management of its natural resources. He is known for his research on natural resource management, land use, and energy policy. He has also conducted research on issues related to climate change and rural development.
Dr. Fahmi is actively involved in the academic community, serving as a reviewer for several respected journals such as Environmental and Resource Economics and the Journal of Development Studies. He is also a member of several prominent organizations including the Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society and the International Association of Agricultural Economists.
